The Texas Real Estate Commission requires that brokers take the 6 hour Broker Responsibility course if they are a sponsoring broker, designated broker of a business entity or a delegated supervisor (for 6 months or more) supervising at least one salesperson. A sales agent who has been made a supervisor by their broker for 6 months or more must also complete the 6 hour Broker Responsibility course. Receiving Credit for Completed Courses

TREC non-elective CE courses require that a proctored course examination be passed for course completion. In Texas, continuing education schools provide notice of course completion to the Commission. We submit notice of course completions to the TREC three times a week. In turn, TREC posts credit to your education transcript. You can verify your completions by looking up your record using the "License Holder Search" option displayed on the TREC's homepage: https://www.trec.texas.gov/

NOTE: Each time you complete a course on the CBT website, you will receive a courtesy email from us that verifies your completion. You will receive a second email each time we submit notice of a course completion to the TREC.

After notice of your course completions have been posted to the TREC website, you can renew your license online. Click this link to access TREC's "Renew Your Sales Agent License" page: https://www.trec.texas.gov/renew-license/real-estate-sales-agent

Regulation of Online CE Courses

The Commission requires that online providers ensure that students spend the full clock hours of time in the course for which credit is awarded. For this reason we have incorporated a timing mechanism to ensure that a minimum seat time is spent in each course (equal to 50 minutes per credit hour). For example, a 3-hour course will be open and active for no less than 150 minutes. Passing a final exam is not required in Texas therefore, our courses do not have them. They do have short quizzes at the end of each chapter however, the passing score has been set to 0%.
