Receiving Credit for Completed Courses

In Arizona, continuing education schools do not send course completion notices to the Commission; instead, the ADRE requires that individual licensees notify them of each course completion via their online course reporting system. The information you needed to do this is listed on each of your course completion certificates.

NOTE: Each time you complete a course on the CBT website, you will receive a courtesy email from us that verifies your completions.

After you've completed all your courses, navigate to the ADRE website to renew your license: https://ptl.az.gov/app/dre/

Regulation of Online CE Courses

There are no limits on the number of hours allowed to be taken online in Arizona, however, the ADRE allows a maximum of nine (9) continuing education credit hours per day. The ADRE requires that all online education providers use a timing mechanism to ensure that a minimum seat time is spent in each course (equal to 50 min per credit hour). The course timer mechanism will “time out” if navigation in a course is inactive for more than 15 minutes. If this happens, simply resume activity to start the timer again. For example, click on the Forward Arrow button or Back Arrow button. Final exams are required by the state and therefore in these courses.
